First Marriage Then Love 《先婚厚爱》Chapter 56 Translation

056 Sunset town 2

It’s not a public holiday, but it was the start of the weekend vacation, and the spacious sandy shore wasn’t lacking in tourists. Of course, most the crowd consisted of youngsters. Lin Cheng city’s large troupe of white collar workers had taken the advantage of the weekend to come and release all the pressures and worries of work.

The two of them weren’t big partiers, and only walked along the shore, or stood by the shore to welcome the waves, feeling the sand underneath their feet or the fast coming and going of the tide. The tide wasn’t so big today, the waves weren’t that high. Although to another who would want to tease their partner probably wouldn’t find the conditions today that fun, but to Su Yi Cheng and An Ran, the wind and tide, was just right, very comfortable.

By midday they were both by a seafood restaurant, which served the local’s freshest seafood, and the culinary talent was exceptional. Each and every dish that was served was absolutely delicious, and perhaps this had something to do with the live seafood.

After lunch, the couple follows a crowd and sit on a small boat that set out to the sea. The boat was actually very slow, and it didn’t look very nice or interesting, but sitting there, one can feel the breeze, smell the ocean.

The couple sit beside each other, not saying anything, but occasionally looks at the other, giving a small smile, not saying anything.

The small boat was turning back, when suddenly a female student told them to come over, eyes fixated on Su Yi Cheng, wearing a bashful expression. She takes a deep breath, as if she was gathering a good amount of courage, then she finally says, “Um, um can, can I get a picture with you?”

An Ran and Su Yi Cheng were caught off guard, and look at each other incredulously. Then, simultaneously, they turn to look at the female student.

In response, the female student quickly explains, “Um, don’t misunderstand, actually, actually I just feel like you really look like a star from Korea, so, so I wanted to see if I could get you to pose for a photo, th-there’s no other meaning.”

Another female student also quickly steps up, agreeing, “Yeah, yeah! He kind of looks like Jang Dong-gun. We’re both big fans, so we wondered if we could take a picture with him.” She turns to look at An Ran and asks, “Does jie jie mind?”

An Ran was caught off guard with the question, and was even more embarrassed being called jie jie. Women really are conscious of their age, especially when in front of younger women. In that situation she was even more conscious of it. She turns to look at Su Yi Cheng, only to see him facing her and, surprisingly, wearing a smile. About the picture, he doesn’t really mind at all, especially since it’s just for fun. Seeing that, An Ran felt this kind of indescribable uneasiness, glancing at him, peeved, as if grumbling about how his love affair is too much.

Seeing An Ran speechless, the female student beside her asks again, “Jie jie can’t be that stingy right? It’s actually nothing much, just a picture that’s all.” An Ran turns her head, and looks at her. Then she puts on a smile, and shakes her head, her tone affirmative, “Of course I don’t mind, it’s just a picture. Besides, my brother’s this popular and has a celebrity face, it’s a given that I’m happy.”

“He’s not your boyfriend?”

“He’s not your boyfriend?”

The two female students ask at the same time.

Actually the two of them had noticed him before he had gotten on the boat, because he was so outstanding. It’s not just the appearance, but also his manners, in the midst of a crowd, he stands out, just a glance into the crowd can make anyone pick him out. Seeing them get on the small boat, they didn’t think too much of it and followed them on. Actually in their eyes the couple was quite well-suited, the man was handsome and the woman was beautiful, and they noticed that the man was holding her by the hand. Even though they weren’t excessively intimate or aggressive, but any person with working eyes could see that they were lovers.

But what did this woman say, he was her brother? They weren’t lovers, but brother and sister?

“You two, are brother and sister?” Even though the person herself said it, but the female students nevertheless, were not convinced. Could brother and sisters now be in a good mood and hold hand in hand?

Hearing that, An Ran turns to look at Su Yi Cheng, only to see him frowning, displeased. Looking at her, his eyes look like they’re dissatisfied and blaming. Seeing him like that, An Ran felt like becoming the bad egg, and smiles at him like a spoiled brat. She turns to the two girls and says seriously, “Yeah, He’s my older brother. I have a boyfriend, and my boyfriend’s more handsome than him.” Saying that, An Ran’s brain suddenly thought of something, feigning surprise, “Oh right, also looks like a famous Korean star, Song Seung-hun, you guys know of Song Seung-hun right? Everybody says that he looks like Song Seung-hun.”

“Really?”

“Really?”

Again, speaking at the same time, An Ran thought to herself, these two girls might be university students, and it was okay being that simple and cute, being swayed by her, unexpectedly believing it.

Resisting a smile, An Ran nods her head expressionlessly, “Of course it’s true.”

The two female students look at her, their eyes having this expression of envy and jealously.

“So jealous of you, I also really like Song Seung-hun.”

“Uh, me too.”

An Ran looks at the two girls with an annoyed expression, but in reality she really wanted to laugh. As she was thinking about letting out that laugh, Su Yi Cheng beside her suddenly uses force on her, pulling her into his chest. Then, not giving An Ran a chance to react, he dips his head and accurately lands a kiss on her red lips, as if it was a punishment. Su Yi Cheng’s kiss wasn’t gentle like the usual, his kiss today was coarse and wild, rough, and punishing.

As a punishment he bit her soft lips. Su Yi Cheng detaches himself from her lips and asks, “When did I say I was okay being your brother? Huh?”

An Ran then understood what it meant by ‘eating one’s own bitter fruit’, ‘a hundred mouths but none who dispute, there are mouths but hard to to speak’. She reaches out and pushes him, but wasn’t able to move him. When she was about to explain and deny, but right at that moment he takes that opportunity to drown out her attempts to make peace.

An Ran felt like after half of a century later, when she was almost dying of suffocation, Su Yi Cheng finally releases her. Holding her as she attempts to catch her breath, but he doesn’t forget to say, “Next time, next time do you dare to talk rubbish?”

Don’t even talk about the next time, right now she was already regretting it immensely. She doesn’t even dare to raise her head, burying herself into his stomach and desperately shakes her head. Really was utterly humiliating, at least this wasn’t Jiang city, and there wasn’t anyone around that they know. Otherwise, digging a ten feet hole wouldn’t be enough for her make her way out.

While at the side, the two girls were standing there and gaping at them, staring at them with large eyes, unable to utter a word.

Su Yi Cheng looks at the An Ran in his chest, and he was really in a good, fun mood. He raises his head and looks at the two girls at the side, gives them a smile and nods,“Sorry, my wife likes to joke around. Hope you guys don’t mind. And about that picture, I think it’s better not to. My wife’s a bucket of jealousy, and I don’t want to sleep on the sofa when we get home.”

In Su Yi Cheng’s embrace, An Ran mutters, “I am definitely not jealous.”
