112 The Fall

father Lin’s situation is fairly stable. Except for the obvious loss of weight since she saw him last, mentally he is still very alert. When Su Yi Cheng came back in the evening, it was obvious that someone’s mood was wrong. There are fewer words spoken, and even lesser smile on the face.

So after dinner, when An Ran was clearing up absentmindedly, she was gently called by someone, "An Ran."

The next day An Ran bought fruits when she went to see father Lin, Lin Li happened to accompany him for some tests, while mother Lin was sitting alone in the ward, sorting out some trivial things, and frowning gently. She looked so frail.

"Mother Lin." An Ran came in from the outside with the fruits.

mother Lin turned back and saw her, smiled. “An Ran, you are here.” Looking at the fruits, she scolded with some unhappiness, “It's good that you came, but why buy these, we can’t finish it all."

An Ran smiled and put the fruits on the counter and asked, "Where's Lin Li and father Lin?"

"There was a nurse in the morning who said that they have arranged a comprehensive checkup for our old man. Xiao Li accompanied him." mother Lin looked at An Ran and asked, "The nurse said that the Director was the one who arranged this. Lin Li said that it must be your husband who asked this of the Director, is that so?"

And this time she only came to see them yesterday, however, this morning someone had already arranged for comprehensive checkups. All of this was because of An Ran’s influence. How could she still bother them further?

An Ran pulled her hand, sighed and said, "Mother Lin, I am a friend of Lin Li for 10 years now. Lin Li regards my parents as her own. I naturally see you as mine too. Now that father Lin is sick, I can only be of a little help, and can only do so little. It's no trouble at all. Additionally, my house is empty anyways, no one stays there normally. After a long time, Lin Li responded, looked at her, nodded, only faintly said, "I've already let go." Bowed her head then put the folded clothes into the bag.

Since she had asked, An Ran might as well asked thoroughly today. She had been afraid of hurting her before, so even the name of Cheng Xiang was a taboo in front of her. Today, she will asked her thoroughly, so at least she could draw a definitive end to this matter and not be so undecided.

Looking at her fixedly, An Ran probed and asked, "If Cheng Xiang turns back, telling you that the person he loves is you, are you willing to forgive him?" Eyes staring at her seriously, not missing the expression on her face.

I can't love anymore, this decade has taken the courage and strength of all my love, I can’t love anymore.”

"Lin Li..." An Ran looked at her with some worry. Regretting that maybe she was too anxious. Her wounds had not healed yet, and now she immediately asked her to face these things that she didn't want to face.

An Ran refocused and turned her head to looked behind, only to see that Zhou Han’s son Xiao Bin was yelling to her and running closer.

An Ran was surprised. She didn't expect to meet this little guy here, and it seems she is fated to meet with this little guy multiple times.

The little guy ran over and stood in front of An Ran, and his black doeful eyes fixedly looked at An Ran, he seems to be still a little breathless.

An Ran smiled and bent to caress the little guy's head, smiled and asked, "Xiao Bin, how are you here, where's your father?"

Lin Li turned around and looked at the person imploringly. She said, "Mister., please help me to call an ambulance."

Zhou Han looked at her and looked at An Ran in her arms. Finally, he looked at Zhou Qiebin who was standing in front of them with a face as if he had done something wrong. He asked sternly, "You did this?!"

Being roared at, the little guy Zhou Qiebin shuddered and looked at him. Tears fell one after the other, but he did not dare to cry aloud, but only in sniffles.

Seeing this, Zhou Han understood. Without saying anything more. he bent over and carried An Ran from Lin Li’s arms. Looking at his son he said to Lin Li, “I will sent her to the hospital, please help me to bring the child along."

111. Lin Li Returns

Su Yi Cheng opened the door and the scent of food waft into his  nostrils, his eyebrows went up slightly. He was just about to call An Ran,  when he saw a figure coming quickly from the kitchen, and smile faintly  when she saw him. "You're back."

Su Yi Cheng nodded, "En."

An Ran took the briefcase in his hand and said, "Go wash your hands first,  then let us have our meal."

Su Yi Cheng looked at her with a funny look. It seems that something is  wrong. Something feels weird.

An Ran was somewhat uncomfortable with his stare. She pulled him forward  and said, "Go, go wash your hands." Pushing him into the bathroom, An Ran  took his briefcase into the study.

When Su Yi Cheng finish washing his hands and sat down at the bar counter top, he looked at the spread on the table, sweet and sour pork ribs,  egg tofu, boiled small yellow croaker, plus tomato egg soup. Every dish  look very good, even when you smell them you can detect a special  fragrance.

An Ran gave him the bowl filled with rice and she sat down opposite him.

Su Yi Cheng looked at the spread on the table and looked up at An Ran. He  couldn’t help but wonder, "Is this all done by you?"

An Ran’s eyes flashed, but she did not answer him. She handed the  chopsticks to him and said, “Try it first.”

Su Yi Cheng looked at her with a funny smile, took the chopsticks, and  directly placed a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs in his mouth. The taste  was sweet and sour, and the meat was soft. It can be said that it was done  very well, just as it was done in a restaurant.

Looking up at An Ran again, he saw that she was staring at him and seemed  to be waiting for him to say something.

Resisting the urge to ask her if she is the one who cooked it. Su Yi Cheng nodded and said, "It's delicious!"

The plate was placed on the bar top and as  she watched Su Yi Cheng she smiled and said, "This is what I did."

Su Yi Cheng looked at the dark piece of something, his face unchanged, then his chopsticks reached out toward the dark thing, then took a piece of it and was preparing to put it into his mouth when An Ran grabbed his hand and scolded while smiling, "Silly, you are really going to eat it."

Su Yi Cheng smiled and said with a serious face, "If you want me to eat, I will eat."

It’s not sweet talk, but it makes An Ran’s heart filled with sweetness.  Deliberately turning around and not looking at him, she got up and took the dark thing away, this time directly into the trash can placed on the side.

What An Ran didn't notice was that at the moment she turned, behind her, Su Yi Cheng's mouth curled in a devilish smirk.

After dinner, An Ran returned to the room to take a bath, and Su Yi Cheng returned to the study room and continued to work. After returning to the room, An Ran was not sleepy. She sat on the bed and  looked at the magazine for a while. She remembered she met Cheng Xiang in  the supermarket at noon. She suddenly remembered that she had not contacted  Lin Li for several days, even when she called her yesterday. She did not  pick up.

In her heart she feels that this  father and son is somewhat weird, sometimes she feels that Zhou Han was too  cold towards this child, like what happen last time, to even let him sit  alone on the sofa of the reception, and was not aware of the child missing  when she and Su Yi Cheng took the child to the hospital. And the last time  at the hospital, he was irresponsible enough to leave the child at the  hospital alone, and he didn’t look for him for a few days. Even when the  child has recovered he didn’t pick him up. It made her feel that he is the  most irresponsible father in the entire world. xiaoxiao at the side got angry and wanted to argue back for Cheng Xiang,  she said to An Ran: "Hey, what is going on with this woman, do you have to  talk this way? Do you know how brother Xiang has been during this  period? How can you say this to him!?"

An Ran looked at her coldly and didn't want to respond to what she said.

xiaoxiao seems to still want to say something, but was scolded by Cheng  Xiang, "xiaoxiao, enough!"

An Ran looked at him and smiled faintly and didn't say anything more about  it. She noticed the bag in his hand and said: "It seems that every time we  meet I will take advantage of you,  thank you this time as well."

Zhou Han faintly nodded. "If there is a similar situation next time I don't  mind you paying for it then."
