052. No one would stay where they are and wait for you


As they were leaving YouRan restaurant, An Ran stands at the door and waits for Su Yi Cheng. She sees Xiao xiao reaching out to call for a cab, and one suddenly came and stopped. It was Mo Fei who got off from the taxi, and as if he hadn’ seen Xiao xiao, he directly went over towards An Ran.

An Ran’s loud voice reached the ears of people who were passing by. They eagerly gather to the scene to watch. Even the employees of YouRan restaurant curiously crowd around the front door to watch. Xiao xiao was standing on the side, with a smile on her lips, but her eyes were showing envy. She doesn’t even intend to give her a hand.

An Ran halted, she continues to struggle free, “Let go, what is the meaning of this?”

Su Yi Cheng smiles at her, then takes a step towards her. He captures Mo Fei’s hand and pinches with a painful force, which made him let go of An Ran. He then takes her hand and gives her a hug, giving her a light pat. He says into her ears, “It’s alright.”

Mo Fei looks at the area that was pinched. It was swelling up. This man wasn’t as refined and gentle as he seems. At the very least, going through that just now, he knows, that if he retaliated, he wouldn’t stand a chance. But seeing how he was hugging An Ran like that, he felt so angry it was unbearable. In the past An Ran had also buried her head into his chest like that, even laughing with him, holding hands and talking about their dreams. In his chest An Ran nods her head, she was thankful that he had appeared right on time, and thankful that he hadn’t asked.

Su Yi Cheng holds her and turns her around so they could leave, but was grabbed from behind by Mo Fei. He turns, only to see his eyes brimming red, extremely sinister-looking.

“I'll allow you to let go of her.” Mo Fei looks at him fiercely, saying those few words slowly.

Su Yi Cheng frowns, and was about to say something, when An Ran suddenly lifts her head, and looks at Mo Fei. She takes a deep breath and says, “Mo Fei, who are you to tell him to let go? He’s my husband. And what are you to me? Frankly, now we are just classmates, I don’t even consider you a friend. If you wanna argue against that, then you’re simply just an ex, and one from six years ago! Last time didn’t you want me to turn my back and leave? Now why are you making things so complicated? Did you think that feeling betrayed, I would still continue to stay at the same place and foolishly wait for you? You’re selfish for expecting me to stay exactly where I am. Let me tell you, Mo Fei, there isn’t anyone who would be motionless. Time has allowed me to realize how foolish and stupid I was. You turn around and look at how much Jiang City has changed these past six years; after time has passed, the city will also grow. So, for what reason, did you think that feelings wouldn’t change? So when you chose to turn your back and break up with me, what was between us was done.”

With one breath she managed to spill out a long speech such as that, without even a pause in between. Su Yi Cheng held her on one side, he could even feel that she was slightly trembling because of anger. He knows that whatever he says now will be unnecessary, so he holds her even closer, so she can lean on him. So he can give her strength.

Mo Fei looks at her in shock. What she said was all fact, and he couldn’t find a thing to refute. But to tell him to let go like this, he isn’t resigned to do so. How could he be willing to, he loves her, ever since the beginning he has always loved only her!

An Ran doesn’t look at him anymore. She turns around towards Su Yi Cheng and says, “L-let’s go home.”

Su Yi Cheng chuckles and nods. He wraps his arms around her body and turns her around.

“An Ran, don’t go…..” Right at the moment An Ran turned around, he grabs onto her hand.

Su Yi Cheng turns, and coldly says, “Mr. Mo, please behave yourself.” After saying that, he simply takes An Ran’s hand and directly walks over to the car that was parked at the side.

Mo Fei watches the man who was embracing her and leading her into the car. He watches their car leave, disappearing into the endless night sky and into the traffic.

The people who were surrounding them gradually left with An Ran and Su Yi Cheng. Mo Fei turns around in a daze, only to bump into Xiao xiao who was faintly smiling at him. His eyes doesn’t unnecessarily linger on her. He drags his steps towards the parked taxi, and directly lets himself in.

Xiao xiao holds onto her phone, smirking as she watches Mo Fei sit in the taxi and disappearing into the corner of the street. Then she looks at the picture that she had just taken on her phone. Her smile widens.
